At Solara we combine therapeutic massage with the relaxing elements of a spa massage. A pregnancy pillow is available at patient request.
Direct billing is available for most insurance providers. Please see below for more information.
Please note that a RMT receipt is not available for any laser treatment purchase.
Non-RMT Massage:
Massage is provided by either a student or recent graduate of the massage program.
Please note these providers are not currently registered with the College of Massage Therapists of BC and will not be able to provide an insurance receipt or treat ICBC patients.

Direct Billing
Direct billing is a curtesy service for our massage patients. It is the patients responsibility to know what their policy covers. There may be times when direct billing is not available ex. insurance provider website issues. If direct billing is unavailable the patient will be required to pay up front for their appointment and submit their receipt to their insurance provider for reimbursement.
Some insurance policies put a cap on the number of visits or dollar amount per visit. It is the patients responsibility to know what their policy covers. Solara is unable to find out what your insurance plan covers. Insurance providers will only speak to the insured member about their policy. The providers phone number can be found on the insurance card.
ICBC
ICBC patients please book your first appointment as an ICBC initial assessment and all subsequent bookings as ICBC follow up. You will need to bring your ICBC claim number with you to your appointment. If you have already seen a RMT for your current claim please book your initial appointment as an ICBC follow up as ICBC will only pay for one initial assessment per claim. Please note any costs not covered by ICBC will be the responsibility of the patient.
WorkSafe
We do not direct bill to WorkSafe and we are unable to treat any patients with an open WorkSafe claim.
VA / RCMP
VA patients will need to provide a doctors note for massage specific to an injury on record with the military. It takes approximately 1 week for approval to come back from Medavie Blue Cross. If prior approval has not been obtained before your first appointment you will be required to pay up front and submit the receipt to Medavie. We recommend emailing Solara your doctors note and K number in advance of your appointment if you would prefer not to pay up front.
